Solution

8620 mateiral is a commonly used alloy carburized carbon steel material, which is a Cr-Ni-Mo series surface hardening steel widely used for carburization and carbonitriding. Characteristics and scope of application: Steel grade 8620 in SAE standard. The hardenability is similar to that of 20CrNi steel. Although the Ni content in the steel is half that of 20CrNi steel, due to the addition of a small amount of Mo element, the upper part of the austenite isothermal transformation curve shifts to the right, and due to the appropriate increase in Mn content, the hardenability of this steel is still good, and its strength is also higher than that of 20CrNi steel. The gears commonly used in the manufacturing of engines and transmission systems for small and medium-sized cars and tractors can also replace 12CrNi3 steel in the manufacturing of carburized and cyanide parts with high core performance requirements, such as the teeth and bodies of cone drills used in petroleum drilling and metallurgical open-pit mines. Due to the presence of molybdenum, in addition to its excellent comprehensive properties, it can also withstand certain temperatures. Forgings for connecting rod and valve sections of internal combustion engines with gear rotors used for manufacturing steam turbines.
